Ecodesign design guidelines
The MAD-faculty has received the question from Ovam [Openbare Vlaamse Afvalstoffen maatschappij] to frame a set of ecodesign design guidelines which can be implemented by a design methodology. This methodology can be translated into a educational package which is reproducible and accessible for the target group [schools, designers and companies]. A team of experts [ecodesign, design methodology, design sector education, …] and focus groups with the target groups as participants, worked together. These focus groups were asked about the use of current design methodologies, the necessity of integrating ecological thinking in these methodologies, the new applicability of design guidelines about ecodesign in a renewed design methodology. The demo will be examined by the target group. The result will be a report that explains the renewed design methodology, applicable in an educational program.
